DESCRIPTION:Join the EACC and UC International Services on Tuesday\, January 16 to learn more about the EACC Global Internship Program\, also known as the J-1 Visa Exchange Program.  UC and EACC staff will explain the application process and answer questions about the program. \n\n\n\nThis event is open to EACC members. A continental breakfast will be provided.\n\n\n\nAbout the EACC Global Internship Program:\n\n\n\nThe (EACC) has partnered with UC International Services to offer EACC members an international business solution: a global internship program   also referred to as the J-1 Visa Exchange Program.\n\n\n\nThe J-1 Visa allows university students and young professionals from abroad to come to the United States for up to 12 months as interns for full-time\, paid exchange programs at eligible EACC member companies.\n\n\n\nInterns participate in structured and guided work-based internship programs in their academic fields. The program recognizes the need for work-based experience\; provides on-the-job exposure to American techniques\, methodologies\, and expertise\; and enhances interns' knowledge of American culture and society.\n\n\n\nAdditionally\, host companies find many benefits in bringing an international intern to their U.S. location:\n\n	Learn about an intern's culture\, business practices\, and language for company's future business development in an intern's home country\n	Evaluate and train an intern for employment in home country upon completion of the program\n	Support company's global talent development by providing U.S. experience to future employees at a location outside the U.S.\n\nThe University of Cincinnati is the State Department-designated program sponsor\, and UC will work with its partner institutions across Europe (and around the world) to market and find qualified internship candidates for your position.
