The EACC Board of Directors met at the Offices of Frost Brown Todd on October 25. Board President opened the meeting with thanks to Frost Brown Todd for hosting us and congratulating EACC Operations Manager Dayna O'Brien on the recent birth of her baby. He introduced Cheryl Dixon-Smith as EACC Interim Operations Staff through the end of 2018. He also welcomed Jenni Larkins, VP for Finance at the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, who will be joining the Board of Directors for 2019. Moormann noted that the EACC has launched a new finance committee that is currenrly developing a budget for 2019, and encouraged Board members to secure their tickets for the Beaujolais Nouveau on November 15.
The board considered and approved meeting minutes for its April and July meetings, and also ratified the slate of Directors and Officers for the 2019 Board. The slate will be presented for formal election at the EACC's Annual General Meeting on November 15 (immediately preceeding the Beaujolais Nouveau Premiere).
The Board then received a briefing by Paul Miklautsch and Micah Zender of Start Something Bold regarding the Voice of the Customer Study the firm had prepared for the EACC. The presentation idenitified a number of challenges and opportunities for the EACC to refine and enhance the value it presents members, including in the areas of Programs and Services; Relationships; Membership Types; and Board of Directors.
Following the presentation and a robust and positive discussion, the Board decided to create a "Task Force" to review the report and its recommendations in more detail with an eye to translating the key findings into meaningful action.
The full minutes of the Board meeting will be available for review by all EACC members once the draft has ben ratified by the Board at the Annual General Meeting on November 15.
