YP Committee Returns with a New Leader and a New Plan

 

 

One of EACC Cincy's key goals for 2025 is the relaunch, refresh, rejuvenation of our Young Professionals Program. To this end, Giacomo Lind was selected to lead the YP committee under the guidance of EACC Board Member, Andrea Costa (HORAN Wealth) and our own Claudia Schroeder.

Early in 2024, the YP Committee organized a couple of well-attended events, and the intent is to reconnect with that energy and momentum in 2025, with a structured plan and strong leadership.

Key ideas and discussion points:
  • Season kickoff event: stadium tour + happy hour (based on the successful 2023 format) - to be scheduled
  • Monthly YP Happy Hours now set for the second Thursday of each month.
  • Mission and target demographic defined: globally minded young professionals building careers in Cincinnati.
  • Actively brainstorming future programming—Executive Insights speaker series, team-building, volunteer work, and fundraising events.

Upcoming Events

  • We’re organizing a YP Season Kickoff event for late April or early May at the stadium (pending final date confirmation - stay tuned for more!). Like our successful 2023 event, it will feature a happy hour followed by an exclusive behind-the-scenes stadium tour.
  • Our recurring YP Happy Hour series is now set for the second Thursday of each month—April 10th will be our third one this year.

Visibility & Communications
We’re launching a light-touch Instagram presence to highlight our activities and share content and photos from the stadium tour.
The focus is storytelling—building visibility for the group and creating a digital footprint we can build on if and once we define a long-term content strategy.

Partnerships & Prospects
We plan to reach out to current and prospective EACC member companies for stadium tour participation, it would be a great opportunity to pull in new YPs, while sharing this particular value proposition of EACC membership.

Our Vision & Audience
At our last happy hour, we defined a clearer target demographic: globally minded young professionals under 35 who live or work in Cincinnati, many of whom have European roots, connections to international companies, or ambitions tied to transatlantic business. These are professionals who may be newer to the city or more established looking to expand their networks in meaningful, globally oriented ways.

Our overarching vision is to make Cincinnati a recognized hub for international career growth—a place where young professionals don’t just pass through, but build careers and connections that matter. We want to highlight how the city offers rich opportunities for both personal and professional development, particularly within the international business landscape and within the EACC. Through thoughtfully curated events, partnerships, and networking opportunities, we aim to create a space where YPs can grow together, learn from one another, and connect with mentors and organizations that expand their worldview.

As we grow, we’ll continue refining our outreach strategies, encouraging participation, and attracting talent that shares our vision of Cincinnati as a globally connected, forward-looking city.
