Marie-Laure Salvado served as senior vice president, executive communication strategist from Feb. 2016 to the end of 2022. Marie-Laure oversaw all communication aspects for Fifth Third’s CEO and President, and advised multiple leaders at the Bank.
Before joining the Bank, Marie-Laure was Procter & Gamble’s communication director for North America. Marie-Laure brings more than 25 years of experience in communication, with recognized expertise in executive communication, media relations, corporate reputation, brand communication, strategic messaging, social media, scenario planning, and issue and crisis management. She has deep experience with engaging across stakeholder groups, including news media, government officials, regulatory agencies, public-private-community organizations, nonprofit foundations, industry associations as well as with customers and employees. She has developed and led many award-winning P&G communication campaigns and media integration across traditional, digital and social media.
Previously, Marie-Laure held positions of growing responsibility at P&G across various geographic and business units. She also worked as a consultant in 2014-15 and advised clients ranging from Fortune 500 to regional companies and nonprofits across industries including health care, pharmaceutical and transportation, economic development and culture.
Education
Marie-Laure holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Bordeaux, France, a master’s in international relations from the University of Paris-La Sorbonne, France, and received a master’s in journalism and public relations from the University of Colorado.
Professional and Civic
Marie-Laure serves on the board of the Alliance Française of Cincinnati since 2016 and was its secretary from 2018 to 2022. She helps with the French elections in the Cincinnati area and was also deeply involved with the Greenacres Foundation and chaired various fundraising committees (2008-2019). She is an active member of the ArtsWave Women’s Leadership network since 2017.
In addition to her commitment to the community and nonprofit work, Marie-Laure enjoys Cincinnati’s vibrant cultural scene, traveling with her family and multiple outdoor activities.
